You CAN Be a Stay at Home Mom or Dad & a Scent-Sational Candle Business Owner!

Hi there!  My name is Patti Price.  I am a single mom of two active teenagers with an absolutely fabulous home candle business!

I wanted to take a couple of moments and tell you about myself and a little about the journey I've taken to get where I'm at today.  I think it's important that you get to know me as your potential partner in your candle business.  Here you're going to learn about me and what I'm about.  This will help you determine whether we're a good fit for each other.

I've worn many hats in my life - student, waitress, secretary, and teacher, just to name a few.  I could never figure out what I wanted to be "when I grew up".  I was on many career paths during my college years and decided on teaching.  This was it!  I had finally found out what I wanted to be and do!  Teaching is such a noble profession and you help so many kids on their paths to greatness.

I was so happy when I received my degree.  My family and friends were so surprised.  Bouncing from idea to idea, the running joke was - Patti, what are you going to do NEXT?  So, I began my career with long term sub positions in different parochial and public schools in all different grade levels.

In a time that I wasn't working regularly, I looked online for "something to bring in some extra money".  I searched and searched for something that I thought would be fun and easy.  But never really intended to become a mom with a Candle Business!

I came across a site advertising soy/veg candles.  Soy/veg candles?  Sounded interesting even though I had no idea what they were.  It was the word "soy" that caught my eye.  Previously, our candles were made with a main ingredient of soy.  Throughout the last few years, Carmen Milazzo, our candle creator, has worked tirelessly to improve our candles, therefore, we now call them "Gourmet Vegetable Wax Candles".

Previous to finding the candle site, I fell in love with the soybean.  When I had super high cholesterol and had to go on a strict diet, I researched and found soy.  After some trial and error and finally finding some awesome soy products, I fell in love with it and still am today.

I was looking for a few things in a company:

• a new, exciting product that not many people had heard about
• a fun way to make money
• a business that I could use my own creative style with
• a business that wouldn't require expensive monthly autoships or upfront costs
• and a business that didn't cause me stress by putting all kinds of quotas and restrictions on me
• but most importantly, on that I would have the time freedom to spend with my family whenever I wanted to.

After reading all I could about these vegetable wax candles, the different ways I could make money, and that I didn't have quotas to stress me out, I was VERY excited!!

I contacted my sponsor and joined right away.  When my first candles arrived, I was blown away by the amazing scents!  My first candle to light was the Cinnamon Raisin Bun and it was better than I could have imagined.  The next morning, I could STILL smell it in my house as if it were still lit!

What started off as a fun little candle business to earn a little extra has grown into something larger.  My vision has shifted.  It's still lots of fun (even moreso now), but I realize and see the big picture and the impact it will have on my family and all those who decide to join me and my team.

How exciting it is to be able to visualize a future where we can have both time and financial independence that most people just sit and dream about!

Since I've had my candle business and been part of this company, I have grown so much.  It's helped me break out of my comfort zone and grow as a person.  I'm continually reading and feeding my mind with wonderful things to help my team members and even passing things down to my kids.  It's brought out that entrepreneurial spirit that I always knew was in me, but was afraid to let out.  It's been refreshing and exciting for all of us!

I now realize why I went to college and got my teaching degree - it's to coach and empower and teach those people who want to learn, be better, and have a wonderful, more fulfilling life.
